We are a patent attorney office in Japan, professionally handling trademark and service mark matters, representing domestic or overseas companies/individuals.
Most overseas trademarks and service marks handled by us are already registered and used in each home country and are further scheduled for use in Japan, and we are fully aware how much the overseas applicants need registration of their marks in Japan. Nevertheless, they are actually handicapped in many respects (information, language, location, etc.) when aiming at registration in Japan. Therefore we believe that it is closing the gap that is the most significant role that we should play as a representative of overseas companies/individuals.
Soon after qualifying myself as a patent attorney in 1992 (Registration No.: 10336), I got a position in a leading patent attorney firm in Tokyo and there served 11 years as an attorney professionally handling overseas trademark and service mark matters. In 2003, I started my own office, and have been engaged in protection of domestic and overseas marks since then. So far approximately 2,500 trademark or service mark rights have been granted to our overseas clients through our representation (as of January 1, 2017).
